4 TENNIS PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2022

Players Who Could Be Taking Home A Grand Slam Title This Year

After two years of delayed, canceled, and rescheduled events it looks like the world of tennis is finally returning to normal.

The next year holds 3 more Grand Slam tournaments, as well as dozens of smaller events across the world. Many players have taken some time off over the last few years and the sport has become more unpredictable than ever.

Today, we are going to look at 8 players who we think have the best chance of winning a Grand Slam title in 2022.

Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu is currently the British Number 1 and is only 19.

Raducanu won the US Open in New York last year – which made her the first British player to win a Grand Slam title in 8 years, and the first British woman to win a title since 1977.

She entered Wimbledon as a wild card last year, and as current World Number 12, expect her to be invited to all three Grand Slam events this year.

Ashleigh Barty

We of course have to talk about female World Number 1.

Ashleigh Barty. Barty is an Australian player who is one victory away from a career Grand Slam. Barty won the French Open in 2019, Wimbledon in 2021, and won the Australian Open this January.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is the most successful Greek tennis player of all time.

His position at World Number 4 is a career high.

Tsitsipas has been knocking at the door of Grand Slam success for the last 5 years and with the possibility of the big three not playing for the rest of the year – this could be his time.

He made it to the final of the French Open last year, which was a career best – we could see him repeat this achievement again this year.

Barbora Krejcikova

Barbora Krejcikova is one of the most successful Doubles Players of all time.

Barbora Krejcikova is one of the most successful Doubles Players of all time. She won a gold medal in that category at the Tokyo Olympics, has won 3 out of 4 of the Grand Slams, and has been World Number 1 in the doubles category multiple times.

Barbora Krejcikova has been slowly making the move over to the Singles and Area and took home the French Open title last year.

With so many new players hitting their strides, it is a very exciting time to be a tennis fan.
